Do You Swing Here Often???

The other night presented a very interesting scenario for the Nibblers, when a old friend from the “vanilla” world landed accidentally smack dab in the middle of our Lifestyle meet and greet.

Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I suddenly found ourselves alone with no kids for the evening, when they were invited at the last minute over to a friends house to stay the night.  Deciding not to waste our suddenly found free babysitting for the evening, we chose to hit the town.  We logged on the calendar and events section of CouplesTouch to see where the party was, and found a large meet and greet that was taking place at a “vanilla” bar in Cypress. 

After seeing the kids out the door, we quickly took a shower, got ready, and headed across town.  We got to the bar around 9:00PM, and were not surprised to see it packed already.  These meet and greets are nearly always very well attended.  The majority of crowd were lifestylers, making up about seventy five percent of the customers.   A crowd of those “vanilla” customers were attending a birthday party, taking place in one corner of the bar.  It usually does not take long for the “vanilla” crowd to realize there are swingers hanging around, with all the flirting and no fighting going on.

In these situations there is always an intense amount of flirting going on even with the couples you hardly know, it is part of the fun.  About an hour into the evening, we were in the middle of a large group of friends socializing and having a great time.  A young lady passing behind me brushed up against me.  I turned and made a flirtatious comment saying, “Feel free to keep doing that all night!”  She laughed for a second, and then paused and looked at me very inquisitive. 

I realized then, that she thought she knew me from somewhere and I assumed we had met at a previous function.  As I waited, a huge smile came on her face and she called me out by my first and last name.   It immediately clicked when she said my name who this young lady was.  She was one of my next door neighbors growing up in my hometown over seven hundred miles from Houston! 

As we caught up on how things were going, she explained it was her birthday and that her and her friends were regulars at the bar.  She was not there for the Lifestyle Meet and Greet!  She did not ask that much about why we were there, and it was pretty obvious by our actions as she was walking up that we were with the “swingers” party.  She had a pretty good smirk on her face during the conversation, but did not seem offended or upset.  There was no doubt that she had figured us out!

So as of this writing, there is now officially one person in the “vanilla” world who has discovered Mrs. Gentlenibbles and my little secret.  Her parents and my parents still live in our hometown, and her sister and my sister used to be really good friends.  I don’t know the likelihood of her spreading her new found tidbit of news, and if she did if anyone would even believe her.  But it does give us something to ponder.

Has anyone else ever had situations like this?  Was there a negative/positive outcome associated with this.
