The fourth week of the Swingdown will not make the highlight reels for sure. Though both Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I did great on our workouts and also ate healthy for the entire week, both of us posted zeros in the weight loss column for the week. Fortunately, last week we had several comments on the Swingdown post to keep us motivated after this disappointing week.

Weight loss for the week- 0.0 lbs
Total weight loss - 9 lbs
Best mile time - 9:08 min
Exercise
Monday - Ran 3.2 miles, walked 1/2 mile, ran 1 mile, walked 1/4 mile
Tuesday - Lifted weights
Wednesday - Ran 3 miles, walked 1/4 mile
Saturday - Ran 4-1/4 miles alternating walking 5-1/4 miles
This week I temporarily abandoned my fast run then alternating walking shorter distances to do a couple of longer runs this week. Though they were only 3.2 and 3.0 miles respectively, they represent the longest continuous distance I have done since focusing on a faster pace. The reason I did this was just to keep my body guessing a little bit and prevent a total loss of my endurance capabilities. It felt good to put a few more miles underneath me and I may try this strategy every four weeks or so.
Even though I did not post a weight loss this week, I still feel like I am doing well. I had lost almost ten pounds in three weeks, and was overdue Read more

Six Things Your Mother Taught You About Swinging! - Part 2
January 25, 2008 by Mr. GentleNibbles · 1 Comment
As promised a couple of days ago here are the last three lessons your Mother taught you about swinging!
Life is what you make of it
Just like the wallflowers at your high school prom, if you don’t get out there, mingle, and get to know some people you most likely will have trouble finding a couple to “dance” with. One of our favorite parts of the lifestyle is meeting people, having fun, and flirting like crazy! If you work on those three things, don’t worry because the sex will take care of itself. Often new couples are so intimidated by the upcoming naked activities, that they have trouble enjoying all the fun with the clothes on. Just relax and picture everyone naked, unless they are naked. In that case drop your drawers, take lots of pics and send them our way!
If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all!
One of the number one turn-offs listed over and over by lifestylers is the term “drama”. If you and your spouse are having some issues, whatever you do keep that to yourself and head for the house. A small spat tends to get bigger after the clothes come off. Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I won’t even consider playing Read more
Iniquity Houston - A Swing Club Review
January 22, 2008 by Mr. GentleNibbles · 2 Comments
We ventured out this past weekend to Iniquity here in Houston. High Maintenance hosted a “Sinners and Saints” party. We arrived at 10:30PM and there was not very many people there, which was a little disheartening, but it turned out to be a great night! It is still a fairly new club, so hopefully, attendance will pick up!! Here are our initial thoughts on this club:
Her Impression:
The atmosphere of the club is very clean and comfortable. There are many chairs and tables, as well as comfy seating areas with full size leather sofas. It is very spacious. The dance floor isn’t huge, but it’ll do.
We toured the VIP area, which is closed off with a set of double doors. The VIP members can see you, but you can’t see them through one way mirrored walls!! Again, there are lots of seating areas with full size sofas. There is a small dance floor where we are assuming a stripper pole will be in the near future. We were also told that a shower with glass walls is going to be added in the VIP area. The downfall of the VIP area is the cost! One night is $100!!
The staff members of the club were very professional and the waitresses were even dressed in the theme! Set-ups for drinks are not free, and they only let you bring in liquor. They do monitor this by not allowing coolers. They provide you with a silver ice bucket at the door.
The fees to get in the door were reasonable. Thanks to High Maintenance, their guests enjoy a discount. For us, the location is okay. Definitely better than Read more
