Have You Ever Twittered with a Swinger?

As Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I are slowly working our way into the “beyond Myspace” era, today we created an account at Twitter and have added our Twitter log to the site.  You can see our log on the right hand side of the page, or you can view our Twitter page here! 

If you don’t have a Twitter account, here is a little bit about what Twitter is.  (At least from what we have figured out)  Twitter is a social networking site, that basically takes everything out but the networking.   Each Twittee periodically puts up micro posts about what is going on in their daily lives, or gives a shout out to another Twittee.

If you have subscribed to be a follower of the aforementioned Twittee, you can read this post called a Twit and keep up with what is going on with them.  Sounds a little voyeuristic, but as swingers I guess we should be OK with that! :)  If two Twitters are following each others Twitter, then the two can use Twitter to have mini conversations or discussions as the day transpires.  Twitter also gives the ability to Twit, from a cell phone thus making it a little more portable than other social networking sites.

Keep in mind, as you are reading this we have been Twitters for officially four hours so their is a chance everything we said above is completely wrong.  We welcome all explanations and advice for using Twitter as we are Twit-idiots!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Genatalia -The Art of Profile Pics

As a couple new to the “Swinging Scene”, your profile picture will play a very important role in the amount of condoms you purchase in your swinging career. 

Several years ago, my wife and I were trying to sell a vehicle.  We had the vehicle listed in the local paper for over a month and had less than five phone calls, none of them serious buyers.  The add had expired and I was calling the newspaper to extend it a few more days when I decided to add something.  I merely added the following statement to the top of the add.

“Desperate, must sell immediately!  Will consider all offers!”

I also removed the asking price from the add and figured I would take what I could get.  Funny thing was, we were virtually inundated with phone calls and I sold the car within a couple of days for the exact amount I had been asking for over the entire month.

The point of this story is not to use the word desperate in your profile, but to illustrate how merely giving my add the right presentation gave me enough of an audience to find the right buyer for my car.  Having old, grainy, and sloppy pics on your profile may limit the number of couples who even consider your profile.

Come and Party Swinger Style!!!

We are really excited to be heading out to one of favorite swinger clubs tonight, club Iniquity in Houston.  We have not been out to a club since our big Birthday Party Blowout at Iniquity back in February, and are excited to be out on the town.  It is not that we have been behaving like little angels, but the past few times we have gone out have been to a few house parties.

House parties are great and usually rank a little higher on the debauchery scale, but clubs are great for meeting new couples and catching up with ones you have not seen in awhile.  As with most lifestylers, we have a family and tons of vanilla obligations.  Our adventures in the lifestyle take a back seat to our everyday lives, so we are lucky to get out once or twice in a month.  When you don’t get out very often, it sometimes can be hard to keep up with old friends, and try to make some new ones on top of that.
