Butts, Boobs, and Boats 2008 - The Way a Swinger Party Should Be!!!

We are currently driving on our way back home from Austin, Texas, where we spent the weekend with several hundred other swingers partying at the third annual Butts, Boobs and Boats event on Lake Travis.  Our condition can only be described as absolutely physically exhausted, dehydrated,  and sore, but with two of the biggest smiles our beat up bodies can muster.

This week started for us with the bells of freedom ringing as our kids went to spend a couple weeks with their grandparents.  We wasted little time, as we packed our bags, loaded the boat, and headed to Austin on a spontaneous trip to check out this BBB (Butts, Boobs and Boats).  We had heard the party was a huge success the year before, but had missed that one due to the fact we were on a cruise at the time. 

We really did not know what to expect from the BBB, as the promotion of this event seemed to be mainly handled through one of the large swinger community websites, SDC and not through CouplesTouch, our swinger community site.  We knew very few people going, but heard that they were expecting over 500 couples to attend the event, so figured with that many swingers in one place only good things can happen.

The event is held on Lake Travis at a beachfront called Hippie Hollow, which is one of the few legally nude beaches in the state of Texas.  With more rocks and cliffs than sandy beach, Hippie Hollow is definitely not prime beach real estate, but makes an awesomely unique environment for a swingers party.  The party started at 10:00AM, but due to another scheduled engagement Mrs. G and I did not make it out on the water until noon.  Driving the boat across this huge lake, we were a little concerned on whether we could find the party with our GPS not behaving properly.   That fear was quickly put to rest when, after rounding a corner, we saw a cove with hundreds of boats and well over a thousand people partying naked to their hearts content!

The boats were all tied one to another in about three or four long lines with the eight to ten large party barges serving as the anchor points in the line.  Then, between the lines couples just floated from boat to boat greeting, mingling, kissing, hugging, etc. to their hearts content.  We fortunately happened to find some really good friends on one of the large party barges with a parking space right next to them.  We quickly tied off the boat, rubbed on some sunscreen, and set off to make the day worthwhile.

Worthwhile it was, I can tell you in our little over one year of experience in the Lifestyle, that was one of the greatest parties we have attended.  We literally jumped from boat to boat to boat meeting new people, making new friends, and even bumping into quite a few old ones we had not seen in awhile!  There are few things better than the presence of water, alcohol, and craploads of naked people to really help shy or newbie swingers to relax and have some fun.  The result is the creation of an environment where everybody loves everybody and it becomes very difficult to not become friends will all who swim across your path! 

As the majority of these new friends were not from Houston and are on SDC instead of CouplesTouch, Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I have decided we need to open up an account with this site as well so we can stay in touch with all these great people.  So if we had the chance to meet you this weekend at BBB and you are on SDC, make sure and look for us soon under the screen name Gentlenibbles and say hi!

To say that BBB consisted only of the one tremendous eight hour event on the lake is gigantic understatement.  That was just the central piece of a weekend that saw three hotel takeovers, two huge organized parties at major venues, and countless after parties and house parties held by many of the great local swingers in the area.  That does not even include the sexy after party we held on our own Friday night with the three couples from the bar and one sexy couple we snagged walking down the hall of our hotel room!  (wink wink… and thanks for the use of your jacuzzi suite to our friends in room 118!)

Another extra we were really excited about, was that we got a chance to meet one of the sexy couples that is going with us and the Swingercast group to Swingfest in about ten days.  After missing them in crowds of masses at the lake on Saturday, we were able to get them cornered for lunch on Sunday before leaving town.  This sexy couple was a lot fun and we look forward to enjoying some of the outfits for Swingfest that she  described for us over the lunch conversation.

To sum it all up we have had about eight hours of sleep in three days, are in desperate need of some visine, and are in the process of putting our trip to the BBB in Austin on the calendar for next year!!!  If you live anywhere within plane, train, automobile, or hang glider distance of Austin, Texas, you should really consider checking out this event next year!!!
