Sleep Deprivation – Leave it at home!!!

In preparation of Swingfest, Mr. G and I wanted to share some advice that we learned this past weekend!  We attended BBB last weekend in Austin, as you already know, and by the time the after party on Saturday night rolled around, we were absolutely exhausted! (For a report on this awesome party – click here)

We arrived in Austin Friday evening, dropped our boat off at the marina (because there was no room to park it at the hotel), checked in at the hotel, freshened up and rushed to the first party of the weekend!!  We were up ’til the wee hours of the morning, only to rise and shine for another fun filled day!  We didn’t get on the lake til noonish, although we were up by 8:30am, and we stayed on the lake til around 5pm. After that, we went back to the hotel and were able to sneak in about a 30 minute nap before showering and getting some grub to make it to the third party!  It was all we could do to make ourselves leave the hotel!  We were absolutely exhausted!

By the time we left the bar Saturday night, it was 2am.  Several couples went back to our hotel, but we were so zonked, we all just went to our rooms and crashed! 

The sun and swimming really zaps your energy, even with lots of water and sunscreen! I suppose the hustle and bustle of traveling, finding out where you are supposed to be, meeting a ton of new people and working that brain to remember all of their real names, in addition to the screen names you’ve been perving for the past couple of months, can be very draining!!  Add a few drinks to that and it spells a dreaded swinger word – T*I*R*E*D!

Needless to say, sleep deprivation is not what you want to suffer from on an awesome party weekend! When deciding what parties to attend at Swingfest, keep in mind the need – the need for sleep! 

It may be hard to decide what to skip or miss out on, but realize that if you do not get plenty of rest, you will be worthless at the prime swinger time of 3am.  (Why is that anyways?? Is it an unwritten swinger rule.  Well, that’s another post!)

So, to all you fellow Swingfesters, we will see you in Hollywood – rested, relaxed and ready to party like rock stars!!

P.S. When you do decide to take that nap, make sure and use your sexy Gentle Nibbles “Privacy Please” door hangar that will be in the goody bags of all of you hotties staying in the Westin Resort!!!
