Georgia….Sweet Georgia!!! - Swingfest 2008 Day One

Wow!  Well that is a great word to sum up the first day of Swingfest 2008.  Even though apparently there were quite a few couples that experienced a fair amount of troubles getting checked into the hotel and getting their luggage yesterday, Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I avoided all that with a carefree flight, taxi ride, and registration for the event.

After unpacking we took a walk around the resort with some friends and this place is wonderful!  The Westin Diplomat is an amazingly beautiful facility that should rank high on your list of luxury spots in South Florida.  The pools are beautiful, the beach picturesque, and the hotel immaculate!

After the tour we went to grab some dinner and meet the Swingercast group.  It was awesome to finally meet all the sexy couples from the swingercast forums and the Famous John and Allie!  In case any of you “Allie -Vocophiles” are curious, yes she sounds just as sexy in person with a face and body to match! 

The meet and greet was loaded with Swingercast fans from all over, many of whom were not on the forums.  It was great to meet and get to know some of these hotties as well!  In truth, we were disappointed the meet and greet could not last a little longer as it was tough to get a chance to meet and talk with everyone!

After the meet and greet, we hurried back to our rooms to get ready for the night at Trapeze, where the only real snafu of the evening was encountered.  When we went down to the bus, we found out that Trapeze was now charging $60 to get in even though it was supposed to be included in the admission price to Swingfest.  We are not sure who dropped the ball here, Swingfest or Trapeze, but the rumor is Trapeze had never received their payment from Swingfest…  We hope this is not a sign of things to come.

To top of the surprise charge, we were informed Trapeze was no longer an option because they were full by 9:00 and turning people away at the door.  The good news is there was a party also here at the hotel, so we went to check it out.

It started a little slow, as many people were coming back from Trapeze and the crowds were a little thin.  But, within a couple of hours the room was packed wall to wall with beautiful sexy swingers and the fun ensued.

We met great couple after great couple and really felt right at home!  Mrs. G has this way, even though she is a little shy, of meeting nearly everyone in a room.   It is like she sends signals out and people just say “hi”!  The fact she is so incredibly beautiful probably helps as well!  By the end of the night, we had made tons of new friends and…..   well we have placed many of them on our “Target to acquire” list!

uh hmm…  That is where the official recapping of the night ends, but we can assure you the rest of it, which inspired the title of this post was extremely memorable as well!

We are now getting ready to go grab some grub with our Swingercast friends and find out about all of their “Hot Times” as well!
