Swingers do it best. . .

 . . . traveling that is, as well as a few other unmentionables!!

Since being in the lifestyle, Mr. G and I have had the opportunity to venture out on several trips with fellow swingers including a cruise, Swingfest, a private weekend get-away, as well as a party weekend in Austin.  Each trip was completely different, and we enjoyed the uniqueness of each one!

We do not have family close by so we usually send the kids to grandparents’ house for several weeks during the summer to make up for lost time the rest of the year!  Needless to say, when the kids are gone, you will not find us at home!  We take advantage of every minute of every weekend and live it up swinger style!

Being away from home allows me to relax and enjoy myself so much more.  Not having to worry about whether or not the kids are torturing the sitter. . . or if we are going to get a phone call to come home because a disaster has occurred at the house. . . or if someone is going to find out that we are at a lifestyle club is a huge relief!

If your goal as a couple is to meet new people in the lifestyle, maybe a cruise or an all-inclusive resort is the trip for you.  There is usually communication, if you are going with a group, via the groups website that you booked with leading up to an organized trip, such as a cruise or Swingfest, for all those going on the trip to coordinate activities and share information.  Many couples post pictures and blog about what they have done to prepare for the trip.  The anticipation of meeting the couples face-to-face that you’ve been communicating with online adds to the excitement of the trip.  Often times organizers will even host a meet-and-greet before the trip as a means for everyone to get to know each other.

For those who know a couple and posses a maddening chemistry between them, a quick weekend trip may be the answer.  We had the opportunity to sneak away on one of these amazing trips last summer, and it was an absolute blast!  We all still talk about it to this day.  We hardly even left the hotel.  The hotel offered free drinks during happy hour each day (even though it was a weekend!), so we sat in the hotel restaurant enjoying drinks and each other’s company and conversation, which eventually led to other things.   No one had to worry with driving or getting dressed up to go to a club.  We all just relaxed and enjoyed a worry-free, no-stress weekend.

The only problem we have discovered with short weekend trips is trying to fit in too many activities.  Last summer, on the weekend trip to Austin, we found ourselves exhausted and almost too tired to go out Saturday night.  When we arrived Friday night we headed straight to a club for the first party of the weekend, and then spent the whole day on the lake Saturday after staying up until the wee hours of the morning!  Needless to say, there was not much time for sleeping, but we definitely learned our lesson about the need for rest.  Everyone knows swingers don’t get down to serious business until about 2 or 3 in the morning!!
