Toys, Toys, Everywhere Toys!
Since being in the lifestyle, how has your sex toy or sexy clothing collection changed? Would your family/friends be shocked at what they found?
I did not even own a sex toy until my husband bought me my first one just a few years ago. I was totally humiliated when he brought it home, but after using it, now I wonder why I did not have one sooner! (As we’ve explained before, we were raised in very conservative and religious homes!!) We now have a modest collection of toys and such, and I do think our families would be shocked to find our “stash”!
I used to be so embarrassed to go into an adult toy store, but now Mr. G and I spend many a date night at the adult toy store, especially if we don’t have time for a movie or something else. It is fun and exciting to explore all the crazy things they sell!
I am always paranoid that someone is going to discover my collection of “lifestyle” clothes, which mostly consists of club wear and costumes!! A few years ago for Halloween, Mr. G and I dressed up as Fred Flintstone and Betty Rubble!! He posted the pictures on his MySpace page, which some family members have access to, and I just knew that someone was going to be curious, but no one ever said anything.
Of course, toys and costumes are all part of having fun as sexually active adults, not just in the lifestyle, but as a married couple in general. It took a long time for me to discover that it is a normal part of a relationship until I got older and started having conversations with other girlfriends. Being around other sexually charged couples or people is not only fun, but you learn new ideas and get to experience things you may not have otherwise.

We have a (friend, lol) but it does not get used that much, not that we do not want to but many times he is forgotten. Now the closet is a bit tight due to more sexy clothing that she wears now. I love to see her dress sexy and hot. I must say that I enjoy the way heads turn and how she is admired, or at least I think that is what it is. Since we hae ventured more into the lifestyle she has dressed hotter. When we’ve talked about it she tells me that she does it because she feels good about herself and does it for me as well. We have wondered at times during our conversations ‘if there are females/males that do it more for the other half”, than for themselves as well. More of a “to please him/her”. We do not worry to much about being seen by someone that we know at an adult store. I think it would be kind of funny seeing that there are friends that are a little freaky as well. Ok freaky may not be the right thing but that they to have a good sexual appetite. What I would find upsetting is for someone that talks in a disapproving manner about the lifestyle and is the one that has the most skeletons(toys) in their closet. Just a few thoughts once again. You guys rock with the topics!!!

Sexy club wear is definitely a fun part of the lifestyle that we enjoy! I would never have worn some of the outfits that I now have had it not been for the LS and the clubs!
I think that a contributing factor of learning to feel comfortable or having the confidence to wear the sexier clothing is the LS clubs. Being able to change or wear a cover up and then reveal that sexy outfit once you are inside the club makes wearing sexy clothing a lot more comforting and allows us girls to get used to showing a little more skin than usual! Of course, the admiration and appreciation that we receive is always encouraging too! I think that goes for men and women.

My husband bought our first toy as a birthday gift for me, and now like you we spend many a nights picking out new ones. Our thing is that when we travel, we get a new toy at a store, so a souviner for us! We have been to soo many interesting and exciting ones. I still have not been to a club, but always wanted to dress nice and sexy out somewhere in public and can’t wait until we have the chance to do so. I am all about the costumes!
Great topic. I was given my first vibe as wedding shower gag gift…..turns out it wasn’t so funny! I used to hide it in a Crown Royal velvet bag in my closet because my first husband didn’t approve of that sort of behavior. He left for work in the morning around 7 most days and at 7:05 I got out my Crown Royal bag before the kids woke up!
My second husband and I are very open about it with each other and really enjoy going to stores and browsing or picking out something new. We even took one of my female friends and helped her pick out a new one! That was fun!
He has also made a couple for me. And of course, I have to show my appreciation by showing him how I use it! At the very least I’ll send a naughty little “toy review” email so he can read it at work…..lol…..such a tease….
Our collection is kept in a locking file box in our closet. Keeps curious kids out of the stash and is easy to transport out to the bedroom (or wherever) I plan on having fun myself. Works great, its plastic so it can be washed from time to time and very discreet. We just say its important papers that we don’t want to keep in the file drawer of the desk.
I love the stories! I probably would have passed out if I would have received a vibe as a wedding gift!! I blushed because my Mom bought me a black baby doll for lingerie! I was so young and naive. I love the idea of sending toy reviews via e-mail to your spouse.
Luckily our kids haven’t gotten too curious yet!
