Butts, Boobs, and Boats 2009 – A Review

Well it has been a couple of weeks and we have finally had time to recover from one of the biggest Lifestyle parties of the year a couple of weekends ago in Austin, TX.  For those of you that missed Butts, Boobs, and Boats 2009 we say, “….HOLY CRAP, did you people miss a great time!”

For those of you who are not familiar, this is a giant weekend long party held on an annual basis on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas.  The party this year consisted of a resort takeover for the whole weekend with meet and greets on Friday night and Saturday night and then the the big Kahuna, consisting of thousands of sexy people partying in all states of undress in Hippie Hollow all day on Saturday.

This year, for the first time, Gentle Nibbles sponsored a barge that was packed to capacity with 70 sexy ass sons of bitches and a couple of crew to man the ship.  Our barge was one of several barges that packed into Hippie Hollow for the event.  The barges were joined by tons of personal boats and passengers also there attending the event.

So all in all, how do we rank the event?  Well, we give this event a 9 out of 10.  It was an absolutely awesome event which far exceeds anything we have seen done anywhere in the state of Texas with a pure Lifestyle focus.  Anyone who attends this event and does not make a few hundred new friends by the end of the weekend must have some sever social faux pas as there are tons of sexy, friendly, funny, normal, sexual people everywhere.

In the spirit of sharing the word to grow the event next year as well as hoping to make it even better, we would like to give a few of our favorite and least favorite things about the weekend.

Favorites

1.) Lakeway Resort

We were amazed that Lakeway gave all of us debaucherous deviants entry into their little slice of geography, much less allowing the entire event to be staged out of Lakeway Resort and Spa!  All we can say to this, “We are damn glad they did!!!”

The resort is a beautiful resort and the staff was awesome at letting swingers be swingers.  While there was not wide open orgies, the pools were kept open late with hundreds of sexy swingers flirting and flaunting until the wee hours of the morning on both nights!

We ask the organizers to please please try to get Lakeway again next year, and if that is not possible try to land a large hotel or resort where this type of atmosphere can exist again.  Mrs. G and I have been to several large regional and national events like these before, and the best times are almost always had just hanging at the resort with a bunch of like minded hotties!

2.) Hippie Hollow

Don’t change a thing about the Saturday event.  It is absolutely awesome!  The fact it is loosely structured with tons of different barges doing their own thing is what makes the all day event so fun.  Swimming barge to barge meeting hotties from different cities at every ladder is something unlike most others anywhere in the Lifestyle!

Not so Favorite

1.) Carlos-n-Charlies

Please don’t take this wrong (directed at the organizers), but this piece of the event just sucks!  When we heard the BBB was going back this year to CnC after all the logistical issues last year we were shocked, but hopeful that the issues were solved.  Unfortunately, we saw no difference and if anything it was worse.

The problem is, the temperature was at most unbearable and at the least extremely unsexy!!!  You can’t put all these sexy people in a room pushing 90 degrees and expect a lot of sexy things to happen!  Sweating is not supposed to happen until the fun stuff starts in the hotel room!!! 

This year we stayed for just about fifteen minutes, before hooking up with about fifteen other couples who felt the same way so we all left, went back to the hotel, and partied in the pool!  We were lucky, because we knew a lot of people there, but for new couples who don’t know a lot of people, this definitely makes it a challenge!

We really hope next year to hear they are finally giving up on this place and moving the Saturday evening event to a new location.  If we land Lakeway again, a giant pool party would be the perfect cap to a totally awesome weekend!

2.)  Nada

That’s it!  This event is just too awesome to find a lot to bitch about!!!

If you do anything next summer as a Swinger, go to Butts, Boobs, and Boats 2010!  You will not regret it!
