Swinger Says What? – Twenty Somethings Seeking?

Swinger Says What - QuestionsToday we have another “Swingers Says What”, submitted by some sexy twenty-somethings looking to find swingers in their age range.  Again our sexy friends the Wildcardz came up with some great advice for these guys.  Here is the Question:

We are a newly married couple who
are starting to venture into the lifestyle. We are still in college and were wondering if there were any sites or clubs geared more toward people in their 20′s.   Also what is the best way to meet people closer to our age group

As swinging couples in our 20’s we are certainly the minority.  Most couples in the lifestyle are older then we are.  And it goes to reason.  As you pointed out most people in their 20’s are still in school, focusing on getting their career established, and/or just now finding themselves a partner that they would consider marrying or having a long term relationship with.  They have yet to establish this relationship enough to have the trust and communication levels required to successfully navigate the lifestyle.  However that’s not to say that us 20-something swingers aren’t out there.

Now in regards to websites; The internet is worldwide, however, sadly most swinger sites are not.  Most lifestyle websites are set up for a specific city or region.  Many try to be global or just country-wide but tend to fall short.  The reason for this is simple.  These sites are set up is to get couples to meet in person and to promote parties.  Do you really want to go through hundreds of profiles just to find a single couple in your area.  Or even worse find a profile of a couple that seems “Perfect” for you only to find out they live half way around the world.

Our recommendation is to join a few sites as a free member.  (We were on six different sites before we found the one that catered to our area.)  Check out the local listings of events.  Most sites have a guest list of the people attending these parties.  Check out their profiles and see what the general age range is for that particular club or group.  The age range doesn’t need to be perfect.  Remember for every one couple that is signed up at least three other couples will not be on the list but still be there.

And finally go to the events and talk to people.  The best way to get information about the local swinging scene is to talk to local swingers.  Find out what sites they are on, what other clubs and parties are in the area and who usually frequents these particular events.

You may even find that although a group doesn’t cater to our targeted age range it just fits you better.  We are some of the youngest people who go to our preferred events but we just feel more comfortable there.  We click better with the members of these groups then we did with a few others we have tried.

Be Adventurous, Don’t be afraid to talk to people, and Keep any open mind.

Some of the sites we found that have diverse profiles include Kasidie.com, Swinglifestyle.com, SDC.com, LifestyleLounge.com, and SexxyMofo.com.  Check them out, set up a free profile to start off with and Have Fun!

  1. We’ve just been discussing this ourselves. Lately we’ve seen an interesting trend in some regions where the vast majority of new couples signing up on Kasidie.com are in their 20′s. That’s unexpected, for the reasons noted in the article. On the other hand a psychologist friend pointed out that younger people today have been “hooking up” since high school and are more sexually emancipated and mature than we were in our 20′s.

Regarding swinger sites, we absolutely agree with the recommendation that you join several and check them out. Most offer free trials. You will find that all clubs and party promoters list their parties on all sites (or should, as it’s free advertising), so there’s no advantage there of regional vs national sites. Look for people you think seem fun, communities or groups you would like to join, utilities and applications that engage you on the site, and have a vibe that feels good. In the end you will most likely remain a member of at least 2 sites, and probably 3.

The younger crowd 20′s is fine… but what is scary is we get emails (on personal sites we belong to) from couples with one or both partners being just 18 or 19 years of age on a regular basis.
Honestly, I must say I find it disturbing.
At 19 years of age it is hard to know oneself… a relationship can’t be fully formed yet with a partner (It takes some time and growing up) and certainly swinging may end up being one of those huge regrets of youth.

Can’t get into a bar…. but lets go to a swingers club!

My wife had a 19 year old start chatting her up on Yahoo yesterday, and for many of the resons listed by inferno above, had her shut the guy down. It seemed that there could be a lot of drama to come along with the couple.
