Gentlenibbles is Alive and Well…with a New Award to Prove it!

Apparently “Rumors of our demise, have been greatly exaggerated!” 

Gentlenibbles, though admittedly we have been on a posting hiatus for quite some time, is alive and well and recently won a prestigious award to prove it.

Just months after getting our first shout out in Playboy magazine we followed it up by winning the 2011 Inaugural Houston Press Web Award for “Best Sex Blog”.  Unfortunately, do to the obvious contradiction of anonymity and award speeches we were not present at the awards ceremony to accept our award, but we are just as excited to receive it.

 Now that we have proven we still have a pulse, I would like to comment on the burning question, Where the hell have we been?

Truthfully, we have been here all along but back in January we started feeling a little burned out on the blog.   We still are actively apart of the Lifestyle and still love writing, but the anxiety of trying to put words on paper (or monitor) every couple of days was starting to have an effect on two things we hold dear.  Those two things were:

1. The enjoyment of our time in the Lifestyle.  Nothing is as much fun when it feels like work.

2. The quality of our writing for this website.  Anything written to fill space sucks in comparison to words written to share one’s soul.  Maybe a bit dramatic description, but you get the point.

With those thoughts in our mind, we mentally divorced ourselves from the website for several months and took a vacation.  We do apologize to those many of you who have emailed as we ignored the inbox as well and hope you understand our lack of replies.  To be honest, these days that inbox is so full that even if we wanted to too, we would still have to ignore the majority of inquiries.

Does this mean we are back?  Yes, we are back but we are changing our approach a bit.  We are not going to be trying to churn articles out with the “more is more” approach, instead we will write articles we enjoy when we feel compelled to put finger to key.  Hopefully this will greatly improve the quality of this blog as a resource to the people it is intended for.  

While we are on the topic of writing and are admitting to fewer articles in the future, we are more than open to offering opportunities to be a guest writer on Gentlenibbles.  If you have something to say to this community and we like the way you say it, we will be happy to post it for all our readers with a link to your homepage or blog.  So if you are interested send us a note at thenibblers@gentlenibbles.com with the subject of “Guest Writer”.

P.S. On the note of Butts, Boobs, and Boats in Austin.  We have had an extreme amount of emails about the barge and takeover last year.  As part of our vacation discussed above, we chose to skip all the chaos and work it takes to plan such an event and are not hosting a barge or party  this year.  We are however not planning out on missing the party, so we will be there and look forward to staring at your titties from our small personal boat!
