Your the Reason – A Early Xmas for GentleNibbles

This post your reading brings the total number of articles written on Gentle Nibbles to 251.  That means since this blogs founding in 2007, even with taking a whole year off, we have still averaged just about one article a week for the five year lifetime of this blog.

Besides all of the writing and researching we also have done multiple site redesigns, a couple server transfers, and hosted quite a few parties and meet-n-greets during that time.  Don’t misunderstand us as we have enjoyed almost every minute of it, but we are wanting to get across that these five years have not just been fun, but a lot of work.

A week ago we received an early Christmas gift, when we were sent a letter from a couple of readers that reminded us why we keep plugging away on this thing year after year.  The letter was titled “Your the Reason” and reads as follows:

I just had to say hello and thank you! I came across the name of your blog when reading (yes actually reading) Playboy a year or so ago. Looking at your site was the catalyst to the Mrs and I exploring “The Lifestyle”.

I think the thought of sexually open relationships always attracted me but “swingers” was that weird 70′s crowd that I couldn’t see myself a part of. Reading some of your posts and following the white rabbit down the hole made me see that it is something I wanted to explore, which gave me a reason to talk to the Mrs. about it. Fortunately she’s as kinky as me.

Thanks again for being great ambassadors, if we’re ever in TX we’ll buy you a drink!

Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I were so excited back in 2010 when we were surprised to find out Playboy Magazine had given us a shout out in their November issue.  Unfortunately this awesome event had coincided pretty close with a pending burnout we were going through in writing this blog which led to soon after this milestone a conscious decision to take one year off from writing anything on Gentle Nibbles.

This recent fan letter really meant a lot to us because we received it just  a couple of weeks after our return to writing the Gentle Nibbles blog after our hiatus.  This letter reaffirmed to both Mrs. Gentlenibbles and myself that the upcoming fits of writers block, server crashes, and occasional confrontation with an angry church mob is all worth it.

You see Mr. FaithfulllyFilthy, you have it backwards, because Your The Reason!  Your the reason we write this blog and your the reason we came back to writing this blog after taking a year off.

Well not just you, but all the hundreds of cute shy newbie couples who have written or came up to us over the years because something we said or did gave you the courage to finally check out this crazy Lifestyle of ours.

So thanks to you Mr. and Mrs. FaithfullyFilthy, and thanks to all the rest of you that read this blog and share it with your friends!  Thanks for bringing us back to work!
